The event was a huge success and could not have been without all of you! As I am writing this month’s article, I am less than a week away from one of my annual big game archery hunts. This is a true passion of mine that I start preparing for about 4 months in advance.

GLTPA's Director's Notes

Carbon Credits and the sale of them is becoming more prevalent especially since markets for raw pulpwood have dwindled in recent months. In a current press release, Bluesource Partners with the State of Michigan and DTE Energy announced the first carbon offset program in the U.S. on State Forest lands. In Wisconsin, Bayfield County has an agreement, and several others are contemplating agreements to generate income from carbon sequestration.
